Outside the Lines is presented by the NWAA Board of Directors, providing a focused perspective on the organization. We look forward to the wonderful Fall Best of the Northwest Show in November! As an “active board”, all Board of Director members have been involved in the planning and implementation of the event. With a shared vision, this team values the importance of art in the community, and we take actions to support artists. Our Strategic Plan helps as a roadmap on the journey. One of the actions is to have an NWAA event every season, so we are adding a new winter event featuring WEARABLE ART confirmed for February of 2027 at the National Nordic Museum in Seattle! Yes, it is more than a year ahead, but that gives us time to make it a super event! We need your involvement: Help us select a name for the new event. Join us as we build a broad volunteer team to develop a plan for the event. Bring your creativity to the mix.
The New Years Resolution for the NWAA Board of Directors for 2025 was to tackle new projects, connect with new artists and seek to develop new ideas. We are making great progress, and we invite you to join us on this journey. Just like missing pieces of a puzzle, we are looking for one or two new members for the Board of Directors. We would welcome the opportunity to talk with you at the show! We will be wearing new “Volunteer” aprons at the event and have our name tags on display. Come say hello!
