Art is more enjoyable when I receive information from my surroundings. I look within to select and organize the information. It becomes a connection and relationship between myself, my environment and others.
I may join a realistic subject with mixed media. I also draw inspiration from looking within, to emotions and feelings of nostalgia. It is about satisfying your impulses and making the mark that comes from within. I layer collage with mixed media, letting the marking actions transform my painting into something you would not have thought of. As the colors are placed next to each other they start to interact. That’s where the fun begins!
