Blending the whimsical with a zen-influenced “art of letting go,” inspires my mixed media art. My artwork invites you for a double-take, to look deeper and find hidden messages woven with intricate patterns that your eye doesn’t catch upon viewing from a distance.  The art changes with the lighting, the angle, and over time.

I explore the ephemeral nature of my subjects using washi tape as my primary medium. I begin my art with a pencil drawing. I enhance the image with acrylic paint while adding a 3D effect to my work by cutting washi tape into tiny pieces and layering them. I do nothing to keep the tape in place other than its own natural tackiness. View my art with the knowledge that what you see at this moment will not last, cherish it for the now. My art is ephemeral.
