Briggs Shore Ceramics
It is my goal to achieve a modern look that retains a record of the making process by using traditional techniques. Each piece of pottery is thrown and trimmed by hand on the potter's wheel, then finished with a plastic rib so the porcelain surface is smooth. Colored slip and underglaze are brushed on, silk screened, and inlaid. After glazing and firing, each piece is sanded and burnished so the exposed porcelain is matte but smooth to the touch.
