Claudette Moe

Claudette Moe Artist

I am a self-taught artist who, at age 76, is continuing to find my niche, my zone. I love color, subject intensity, and the ability to convey a story through the eyes of the observer. Most subject references come from black and white images; elements that can be combined, or a single element that inspires. I am a translator, not a copier. Acrylics are my medium of choice and color is my inspiration. My technique incorporates a pencil sketch followed by brush, roller, rag and the occasional finger smear. I work in multiple layers, solid blocks of color as well as fine detail. My work incorporates a variety of styles from impressionistic to contemporary to illustrative. Each piece finds its own definition, my definition.
