Linda McClamrock Paper Collage - Linda McClamrock
I use paint and paper to create my artwork. I never use images from magazines. I hand paint and hand print papers (primarily found papers, but also some purchased papers) and "paint" scenes with them.
I tear and cut every piece of paper myself, using scissors. I don't use templates, punches, cricut or any other tool, only scissors. I make each piece one at a time, and frequently paint and print papers from scratch for each artwork. I love how transforming upcycled papers has enabled me to control my palette, and work larger.
Every artwork is sealed with gel medium in a matte finish. Ninety percent of my work is on cradled wood panels, for a clean, modern finish. I occasionally work on vintage music, and then insert those pieces in a double-glass frame.
