Anastasiya Chapko - Landscape Inspired Photography

When I got my first DSLR, I started taking “photo fieldtrips” to parks, zoos, and aquariums. It wasn’t long before I started exploring wildlife preserves and state parks farther from home, and I’m now delving into aerial photography. My first time in a helicopter was an hour-long, doors-off flight around Lake Tahoe, and the amazing views from that trip got me hooked on shooting landscapes from the air. I shoot with two Nikon DSLRs: a full frame D850 and a crop sensor D5300. My most used lenses are a Nikkor 80-400mm telephoto lens for wildlife and a 24-70mm lens for landscapes. I aim to get the composition and settings right in-camera and then crop and adjust colors in Lightroom Classic for printing on various sizes of different mediums. I have two art printers (one with 6 dye inks and one with 10 pigment inks), and I print, matt, and frame my own archival paper prints. For metal, I use a Washington based small business specializing in industry-leading ChromaLuxe aluminum art prints.
