Darah Lundberg

Darah Lundberg Ceramics

This porcelain and stoneware ceramic work is thrown, thrown and altered and hand built. The design is incised with an exacto knife and inlayed with copper carbonate or iron oxide. Lines are used to indicate tracks, roads, bridges and paths that lead to-and-fro. Circles used to represent the earth, sun, wholeness and infinity. The Electric fired pieces are then lined with a durable white glaze and glazed on the outside with a matte white glaze that allows the copper green to show thru. The other work you see has a durable liner glaze on the inside but was left bare on the outside to let the atmospheric wood firing process leave a unique glaze of ash and soda that are inside the kiln.
