Greg Prescott - Stonerock

I am a geologist turned artist who now crafts stone fountains. The stone I use is a highly colored very rare small basalt column which originates from the Beaver Canyon quarry here in Washington State. My former partner, Bob Jewett, and I discovered, developed, and operated this quarry for more than twenty years before its permanent closure in 2018 following Bob's untimely demise. In the process of creating such fountains I first select, drill, cut, polish, and assemble an arrangement of the columns into a pleasing grouping. I then either build from scratch or alter to my own design and specifications all the components necessary to assemble and produce a reliable water features to stand the tests of time and taste.
