I create wearables and accessories with fabrics that are handwoven on multiharness floor looms. Most of the patterns are my own designs and some utilize traditional woven structures. The materials I work with are natural fibers and some of my silk pieces feature hand dyed colorations achieved through the process of warp and or weft ikat technique, which is a resist dyeing method of tieing off some areas on the warp or weft yarns to color only certain portions within the fabric body. Once the fabrics are woven, taken off the loom, handwashed and pressed, I sew them into my original wearable pieces, in a variety of styles and sizes.
