Seapolished - Birgit Schmidt-Rosemann
Macrame octopuses sculptures:
I use 3-4mm cotton cord of various colors attached to an aluminum wire armature. I use a combination on double half hitch, lark’s head, and spiral knots to create intricate patterns on 3D organic shapes.
Rock sculptures:
All rocks are legally collected on DNR lands along the PNW coast. I use hammer and chisels to create the outline and then a rotary tool with a variety of diamond-tipped drill bits to create the details. I use sandpaper and diamond paste to polish the finished products.
