Shelly Corbett Photography
Toy figures, often LEGO, are photographed in enchanting, blurred worlds created with props, lighting techniques and special lenses. Parts of images are then manually layered and enhanced with an encaustic process—layers of beeswax, pigments and surface carving adds depth and luminosity. The final effect blurs the line between painting and photography. In addition to my original 2-D art I will also be selling blank greeting cards that I print myself.
