Toy figures, often LEGO minifigures, are photographed in enchanting, blurred worlds created with props, lighting techniques and special art lenses. Areas of the final image are duplicated, and layered. The surface is enhanced with an encaustic process—layers of beeswax, pigments and surface embellishments add depth and luminosity.
