Handcrafted silk scarves and accessories, made with custom fabrics I create from my original photographs. Fabric designs begin with my images of urban and botanical details. I transform the photos into themed artwork, each telling the beginning of a story. Designs are created in small batches with silk crepe de Chine in the US, and non-toxic, biodegradable inks, in a digital process that uses less water, electricity and fabric than conventional textile printing. Silk is sourced from a US importer working exclusively with natural and organic materials. I craft the fabric into scarves with two layers of silk and hand-stitched ends. I’ve created several themed scarf collections, arranging designs for maximum fabric use with the least fabric waste. I save occasional incomplete and test pieces to be used for other accessories such as pocket squares, kerchiefs, accent ties and small bags. Always with the intent to make the details matter, I sew all scarves and accessories to be usable art.
