My philosophy is simple: take beautiful stones and make them wearable without taking attention away from them. After all, can any of us really improve on what mother nature has done? I acquire or make high-quality gemstone cabochons and use solid silver and/or copper sheet, strip, and/or wire to create custom frames, prong settings, or bezel settings for them. I work the metal using a wide variety of tools in my Washington-based studio. My goal is to keep the stones as visible as possible and let their settings complement rather than hide them. I am influenced by both Native American and modern artisans.In addition to gemstone pendants, I also make earrings, bracelets, and necklaces, often to complement or enhance my pendants. Nothing brings out the colors in a featured stone better than a necklace or pair of earrings featuring the same stones and metals. I make everything by hand with the greatest attention to detail. No two pieces are alike.
