Scarabajo Ecoprint

Scarabajo Ecoprint - Atenas Morales Aguilar

I work with natural fibers like cotton, linen, and silk, transformed through a range of dyeing and textile techniques. My main practice is botanical eco-printing, bundle dyeing, and resist techniques such as shibori, using locally collected leaves, flowers, and plant matter to transfer color and form directly onto fabric through heat and steam. I also incorporate layering and hand-dyeing to build depth, texture, and variation into every surface. I design and construct my garments and wearable art from scratch, including pattern-making and sewing, and I also create panels and tapestries. Accessories are thoughtfully curated using quality natural fabrics. Each piece is shaped by the season, the materials, and the moment, never fully predictable, never repeatable.
