Erna Geirsdottir - Erna Handmade Ceramics

My work is wheel-thrown functional ceramics made primarily from stoneware and porcelain. Each piece is thrown, trimmed, and often carved by hand, with an emphasis on clean forms, balance, and thoughtful detail. Many forms incorporate carving or layered surfaces to add depth and texture. Surfaces are finished with food-safe glazes, often in soft, natural color palettes inspired by Nordic design and the landscapes of Iceland and the Pacific Northwest. All pieces are fired in an electric kiln to mid-range temperatures.
