Kelly Pensell - Clovehitch
My quiet, structured forms are wheel-thrown and/or hand-built from locally sourced stoneware, with material and process reflected in the finished surfaces. My work is an evolving collection of vessels and objects designed to bring calm, beauty, and joyful ritual into everyday spaces.
Currently, my focus is on flower vessels for every season: Ikebana vases that celebrate space and asymmetry, tulipieres that bloom from within, flower bricks with sculptural presence, and simple bud vases that honor a single stem. These forms are intended to function as more than containers—they are invitations to pause, arrange, and enjoy.
