Arcana Metalwork

Arcana Metalwork - Peggy Foy

Seattle metalsmith Peggy Foy has been at the jeweler's bench for over 20 years; her work consists of intricately detailed one-of-a-kind and limited-edition pieces inspired by Art Nouveau and high fantasy. She also offers custom design services, including heirloom restyles and custom bridal. Peggy received a BFA in Jewelry/Metalsmithing from the University of Georgia, and is a metals instructor at fine craft centers in the Puget Sound area.
Each piece of jewelry starts with raw materials (such as sheet metal and wire) and, using traditional hand tools such as hammers, files, and a jeweler's saw, Peggy cuts, forges, solders, textures, and polishes her original jewelry designs to become treasures that delight the eye and are a pleasure to hold. Some pieces incorporate cast parts modeled from elements found in nature, and then expertly manipulated in metal. Most of her work is sterling silver, with some pieces such as commitment rings or anniversary gifts created in 14k or 18k gold.
