ArtInspired by my study of physics, astronomy, math and geology, I create unique and wearable art pieces that suggest the dynamics of cosmological events, the history of geologic activity, or demonstrate basic scientific principles. I work primarily in sterling and fine silver and employ texturing techniques such as hammering, reticulation, cuttlefish and water casting. For my larger pieces I often use highly figured stones I have cut myself. Overall, I aim for a rough, organic abstraction that balances the formal influence of the underlying science, while adding gems and gold embellishments to satisfy my own inner magpie.
