My designs begin with hand fabricated textured plates of silver and gold. Reticulating silver creates a mountainous landscape pattern, fusing 22k gold and silver a more geometric pattern. I will then begin designing and fabricating unique contemporary pieces of jewelry or metal boxes incorporating unusual semi precious stones. An old Korean technique. called Keum Boo allows me to fuse 24K gold and silver, oxidized black it creates a dynamic contrast in color. My torch is my friend and it helps me create unique one of a kind contemporary jewelry that focuses on textures, contrast of line, shape and color with semi-precious stones.ment
