Linda McClamrock Art
I have been making art with paper for the past 15 years. I now print and paint many of my papers to better control my palette and enable me to work larger. I use acrylic paints and a combination of tissue papers, deli paper, old books and maps, and even packing papers. Most pieces have a little magazine paper too, but I never cut image from publications to use - I simply use the colors I find to create my own images.
I cut (with scissors) or tear every piece of paper that goes into my creations. Each artwork includes hundreds of pieces of paper, and incredible detail. All my years of classical piano lessons have paid dividends with my hand-eye coordination. I use a glue stick to position the elements, and when satisfied then add wet mediums for preservation.
I work on gallery-depth wooden panels. I offer some giclee reproductions, which are produced in Woodinville. All are clearly marked as reproductions and presented separately within my booth.
