Rosie Port Art
My connection to color sets the tone for each piece, with palettes drawn from emotions, places, and memories. I appreciate the unpredictability of watercolor when using wet-on-wet and enjoy techniques like salt, bubbles, and found objects to create texture and movement. As the piece evolves, I layer washes and add intricate details with black pens, white gel pens, and paint pens. From a distance, the work feels abstract, but up close, layers and fine patterns emerge. I finish with touches of gold ink to highlight and unify the composition.
