My reverence for my coastal Tlingit formline, Ukrainian roots, and abstract expressionism style intersect my contemporary figurative oil paintings. I bring values of stewardship, respect, and gratitude forward on canvas. Creating visual and word stories, prepping canvas, toning, building layers, laying large movements, then major forms, values, and thicker color stories. Reverence for my elders, stewardship for all people, land and sea finds pride of place in my work.
