Molly Abromitis

Molly Abromitis - Sitimorba

I forage, cut, and sand tree rounds into “cookies” which become my canvases. I then use earth pigment paints, made from colored sediment and crushed rocks, along with a wood stain made from walnut husks, to create designs working with the natural shape, textures, colors and grain of the tree in working with. I finish each piece by sealing both sides with an eco-epoxy blend to ensure longevity.
