Every tree has a story to tell, so I gather local wood and focus on its flaws to bring out hidden tales. From wind-fallen or sawmill-rejected maple, cherry, elm, walnut, and cedar I chisel, gouge, and power-tool my way to the beauty within, using fire, bleach, stain, and natural finishes to clarify and polish. Sometimes abstract, other times figurative, each work honors and celebrates the inner life of trees.
