I am a narrative-driven oil painter whose practice centers on process, intuition, and the physicality of paint. Through layered mark-making and richly textured surfaces, I construct imagined worlds that hover between memory and fantasy. The narrative within each painting is not predetermined; instead, it unfolds through an ongoing dialogue with the material. I allow the paint to dictate the evolution of the work, responding to its movement, resistance, and accumulation until the image is revealed. This gives the work a sense of romance and reverie, it is a way of being honest without being accurate It allows me to commemorate the experience of self discovery and turn these insights into something beautiful and tangible, but not quite real. We turn these paintings into beautiful hand made note cards, prints, ornaments and framed prints that are made directly in our little home studio. I will be exhibition both original oil paintings and cards, prints and unique hand made gifts.
